Conditions of Rental

At Propaganda – House of Props & Costumes, we are committed to supporting authentic storytelling through culturally grounded, ethically sourced, and locally made props and costumes. To ensure fairness, transparency, and the protection of our heritage items, all rentals are subject to the following conditions:

1. Rental Agreements & Payment
•     All rentals are managed on a per-production basis and require a formal written agreement.
•     Payment must be made in full and upfront before items can be collected.
•     The minimum rental fee is N$500. FAN members are eligible for a rental discount upon showing proof of membership.

2. Responsibility of the Production Company
•     From the moment items leave our premises until they are safely returned, the production company assumes full responsibility for their care and condition.
•     Rented items must be handled respectfully and used only for the agreed production purposes.

3. Loss, Damage, or Alteration
•     Any item that is lost, damaged, altered, or returned incomplete will be charged at its full replacement value, as agreed in advance.
•     Replacement charges are not negotiable and reflect the cultural, historical, and creative value of the items.

4. Rental Period
•     Rental days are calculated from the day of collection until the day of return.
•     Late returns may incur additional fees, as outlined in the rental agreement.

5. Ethical Use & Preservation
•     All items are provided with the understanding that they represent Namibia’s cultural and creative heritage.
•     Productions are expected to use rented items in ways that respect cultural integrity and ethical storytelling.
