PROPAGANDA COLLECTIVE
Propaganda Collective is a synergy of artists from different creative disciplines that concentrate on making authentic handmade cultural items that symbolize both identity, history and traditions. By uniting talent and resources, Propaganda provides a platform for artists to thrive in ways that benefit both the individuals involved and the broader creative landscape. Propaganda Collective welcomes artisans especially those from marginalized communities, who produce handmade goods, such as jewelry, textiles, and pottery.
While the art and craft industry, and the film industry are often seen as operating in different spheres, at Propaganda we see them as deeply intertwined and difficult to separate because they both rely heavily on creativity and craftsmanship. Out of this realization, the Propaganda Collective was established.
At Propaganda we focus on ensuring ethical production practices. This includes ensuring environmental sustainability, and respecting cultural traditions. We also emphasize ethical sourcing and fair trade practices to ensure that all our artists are paid fairly and that their craftsmanship is respected. Supporting local artisans through fair trade initiatives is at the core of Propaganda values to help preserve traditional crafts and ensure that cultural heritage is kept alive for future generations.
